Lexy Semino, is an associate with Tripp Scott and focuses his practice on complex commercial and civil litigation, business litigation, construction law, and general civil litigation in both state and federal court proceedings. Lexy earned his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law and his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida in Political Science.
Prior to law school, Lexy proudly served as a police officer and detective in the Miami-Dade Police Department for over 11 years, where he earned the Employee Excellence Award and numerous commendations.
In addition to completing the Dispute Resolution Clinic during law school, Lexy served as the President of the NSU Trial Association, Goodwin Alumni Editor for the Nova Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Society. Additionally, Lexy served as the Vice President of his school’s chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association, maintained an active membership within the President’s 64, and worked as a faculty and research assistant for Dean Olympia Duhart. Lexy earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester in addition to book awards for the highest grades in Constitutional Law and Legal Research and Writing.
Prior to joining Tripp Scott, Lexy interned for the Honorable Ivan F. Fernandez of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. During his last year of law school, Lexy was selected for membership in the Order of the Barristers, an honor society recognizing excellence in written and oral advocacy, after he and his teammates won the prestigious Buffalo-Niagara Mock Trial Tournament. Lexy also won first place in multiple law school advocacy competitions, including the Mark Dobson Closing Argument Competition.
