Lis aids entrepreneurs and established businesses alike in the structuring and completion of mergers & acquisitions, real estate purchases/sales, contract negotiation and drafting, leasing and general legal compliance.

Lis also has extensive experience serving in an outside general counsel capacity to businesses of all sizes. Lis utilizes his legal and managerial background in order to learn his clients’ businesses, spot areas requiring legal attention, and provide efficient and effective counsel and oversight on both transactional and litigation matters. On a daily basis, Lis strategically deploys Tripp Scott’s team in order to achieve cost effective results for clients who seek all the advantages of talented in-house counsel without the overhead and inefficiency of a traditional in-house counsel model.

Prior to joining the firm, Lis managed a large portfolio of properties for a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust, served as a certified legal intern with University of Florida Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic, and worked at Tripp Scott as a summer associate.

Lis holds a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he served as research editor of the University of Florida Entertainment Law Review and was a member of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy. For his undergraduate studies, Lis attended the University of Florida Warrington College of Business where he received a Business Finance degree.

Lis is Past-Chair of and is currently on the Board of Directors for Handy, Inc., a non-profit serving South Florida youth in more ways than can be described in a short bio.
