Douglas H. Reynolds is a third-generation South Floridian and a Director in our litigation department. He focuses his practice on business litigation, marital and family law and probate litigation.
The Florida Bar has board certified Mr. Reynolds in Business Litigation (1997) and Marital & Family Law (1994). Board Certification is the highest level of recognition bestowed upon attorneys by The Florida Bar, and recognizes attorneys who are distinguished in specific areas of legal practice by virtue of their exceptional competency and depth of experience in all areas of legal practice. Mr. Reynolds served for six years on the Florida Bar’s Marital and Family Law Certification Committee, which oversees the certification of family law practitioners. Additionally, Mr. Reynolds has served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, and has been a mediator in numerous proceedings. Mr. Reynolds is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Reynolds has a long history of involvement in our community. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of Florida Funding Legal Aid, formerly The Florida Bar Foundation, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida and Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation. He has served on the City of Fort Lauderdale Community Services Board, the City of Fort Lauderdale Marine Advisory Board, and the City of Fort Lauderdale Nuisance Abatement Board. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of both Pine Crest School and St. Mark’s Episcopal School.
In 2019, Mr. Reynolds was awarded the Russell Carlisle Award for Advocacy. The Russell E. Carlisle Advocacy Award is given annually by Legal Aid Service of Broward County to an advocate whose actions exemplify a personal and professional commitment to making justice available to the poor and disadvantaged. In 2024, Mr. Reynolds received the Commitment to Justice Award from Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida. The award honors members of the community whose work reflects the mission of improving the lives of low income persons in our community
Mr. Reynolds holds a master’s of law degree from Emory University in addition to his law degree from that same institution. He earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Virginia.
