Tripp Scott’s Charles Tatelbaum Receives Appointments with South Florida PBS
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Feb. 8, 2021 Tripp Scott today announced that Charles Tatelbaum, a director with the firm, was named chair of the budget and finance committee for South Florida PBS. Tatelbaum, who serves on the board of directors for South Florida PBS, was also appointed to membership on the executive committee of the organization.
South Florida PBS owns and operates the lead public broadcasting television stations in South Florida – WPBT in Miami and Fort Lauderdale and WXEL in the Palm Beaches. It is Florida’s largest public media company, which includes public broadcasting stations WPBT2 and WXEL, serving approximately 6.3 million viewers of all ages and cultural backgrounds from Key West to the Sebastian Inlet and from the Atlantic Ocean west to Lake Okeechobee. South Florida PBS also owns and operates The Health Channel, which broadcasts current and relevant health news all the time locally and throughout the country, as well as providing health information and news on The Health Channel app.

For the past 50 years, Tatelbaum has focused his practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues, complex business litigation, Uniform Commercial Code transactions and lender liability litigation and other types of secured transactions, as well as domestic and international letters of credit.
He regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in transactions and insolvency situations, creditors’ committees, and throughout the United States he represents business clients in complex business litigation, the defense of lender liability claims, all types of bankruptcy proceedings and products liability defense based on warranty. He also represents secured and unsecured creditors in distressed business transactions and litigation. He has also has represented clients in Chapter 9 municipal bankruptcy proceedings and Chapter 15 foreign bankruptcy proceedings.
