Scott J. Jordan, combines his broad legal knowledge with practical business experience to assist clients in business transactions, real estate, financing transactions, private security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, business formations and structures and other business needs. He has closed more than $5 billion in financing transactions.
Jordan has counseled numerous borrowers, lenders, issuers and underwriters in complex financing transactions, and has represented both buyers and sellers in numerous mergers and acquisitions. He has also represented developers in the development, rezoning, conversion, purchase and sale of properties.
Before joining Tripp Scott, Jordan worked for 10 years as a corporate executive with a retail company.
Active in the local community, Jordan currently serves on the Advisory Board for The Place of Hope at The Haven Campus. He has in the past served as a committee member of John Alden Life's Sports Day Challenge to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis committee, a member of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce's Trustee project team, a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Charitable Foundation, a Member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Alumni Committee, the board of directors of the Boca Greens Homeowner's Association, as the secretary for St. Joan of Arc Ushers Ministry, as a Board Member of the Boward Education Foundation, where he also participated on the executive committee, and on the Bylaws Committee for the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club.
Jordan holds a law degree with honors from St. Thomas University School of Law, a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University. He initially attended the University of Louisiana Monroe on a football scholarship.
